Bendaroos Mega Pack and Bendaroos Hearts, Stars, & Rainbows Review and Giveaway

You’ve probably heard the commercials on TV for Bendaroos®, and I’m sure your kids have. They are amazing, fun flexible building sticks that kids can use to create anything their imaginations can dream up. When my son was just 3, he begged me for Bendaroos. I had no idea what fun Bendaroos could be! We had the privilege to expand our collection with 2 new sets.

What are Bendaroos?

Bendaroos® are made of wax and colored orlon yarn. The Bendaroos hold their shape as you stick and press them together. You can create amazing works of art, little toys, decorations for your kids walls and windows, etc. They are non-toxic and they have extensive test reports to back this up. The Bendaroos do not bleed into fabric, paint, or skin since the color of each Bendaroo is actually the yarn inside the wax, not the wax itself. This product has been tested and found safe for kids 3 and up according to ASTM F063-2007 and CPSIA. Keep away from kids under 3 and animals as they could become a choking hazard.

The Bendaroos Mega Pack comes with 500 Bendaroo pieces including 250 Rainbow and 250 Neon colors, 10 Traceable Templates, and a great instructional step-by-step guide to start off our Bendaroos Creations.

We let the kids select a couple Bendaroo creations to make and then let them have fun with free play. My kids are 3 and 5, their imaginations are exploding so they enjoyed making their own creations the best including rings, aliens, t-rex, and more. I think it is important to show them how to follow step-by-step directions with the instruction guide but I also feel it is equally important to allow them to explore and create their own objects. Bendaroos allows kids to explore, create, build, and have a sense of accomplishment all while having fun. This is an excellent way for kids to develop their fine motor skills. We use Bendaroos during family craft night about once every week or so, it is just as fun for the kids as for parents.

The instructions are handy and include a step-by-step guide on how to make fun creations. There are about dozen creations to choose from with the instructions and another 10 with the traceable cards with the Mega Pack. There are about 6 cool hearts, stars, and rainbow designs with the 100 piece pack to create.

With help from Mom and Dad, Elijah was able to create some of the Black Widow Spider at age 5. We gave him step by step instructions from the guide. Elizabeth helped with the creations at age 3 by working on her colors and numbers when we asked for various Bendaroos. She enjoyed helping and making her own creations as well.

My kids love showing off their Bendaroos Creations! They like playing with the creations just as much as making them. We’ve since created a few pieces to put on their bedroom windows. They love that they stick! Elizabeth loved her Nemo Bendaroo Creation. Nemo is now stuck to the side of their fish aquarium.

Elijah loves to carry around anything small. He takes Sluggo the Snail with him everywhere now. The little guy is still together in one piece to my amazement!

Any craft or toy that is fun for both boys and girls and inspires creativity is a winner in my eyes. I recommend Bendaroos for not only young kids like mine but especially for older kids. This is a family fun activity at a great price.
