Cherry Valley Lodge is a Great Ohio Family Getaway and Home of CoCo Key Water Resort (Win Overnight Stay with Waterpark)

Cherry Valley Lodge is a great Ohio Family Getaway or a place to host a retreat, reunion, or event.  Cherry Valley Lodge is located just north of Columbus, Ohio. It offers a 200 hotel rooms set on beautifully landscaped 18 acres of land with 2 courtyards. It is also home of a 50,000 sq feet indoor waterpark. Cherry Valley Lodge took us by complete surprise by it’s beauty, size, and accommodations. This place is amazing! It’s a resort in of itself.

When  you walk into Cherry Valley Lodge, the beauty of the lodge like setting of rich woods, rustic charm, spacious sitting areas, fireplaces, piano, and floor to ceiling windows with doors that lead out to the courtyard. My kids loved exploring and so did I!

What a beautiful space for reunions, weddings, bachelorette party, corporate meetings, retreats, honeymoon, anniversary, etc.

Cherry Valley Lodge Rooms

Again, I was surprised at the beauty of the rooms at Cherry Valley Lodge. Spacious. Beautiful. Clean. All three factors are key for a family traveling and Cherry Valley Lodge has it all.

Our room was a standard double Queen bed room. It was beautiful and did I mention, CLEAN. This is super important to moms. There was even a deck that overlooked the courtyard. The courtyard was beautifully landscaped with blooming flowers everywhere, a good sized lake with ducks to keep the kids entertained, and a walking path surrounding the lake. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, it was peaceful. If you get a 1st floor room, you have a patio outside your room and can walk around in the courtyard. This would be ideal if you booked the Cherry Valley Lodge for a retreat or for your wedding hotel rooms in Ohio.

The rooms are set up with beds on opposite sides of the room, this is great for families. We could actually put our kids to bed and still be able to stay up with a light and TV on since our bed was on the other side of the room.

The TV is on a swivel so it can be seen either in the living area or 1 of the beds.

The bathroom was spacious with the shower, tub, and toilet in a separate room and a double vanity with large mirror in another. There were plenty of towels, so there was no need to request more. This is a big deal for me, with 4 people, there needs to be enough towels.

Cherry Valley Lodge Restaurants

You don’t have to leave the lodge to get great meals. There are two restaurants at Cherry  Valley Lodge for all your dining needs, or you can order room service.

My kids loved the double sided fish aquarium at Cherry  Valley Lodge. On the other side is the Lodge Pub where you can grab a snack, cocktail, or even dinner.

We actually grabbed dinner at The Lodge Pub and took it outside to the courtyard. We enjoyed a delicious hot pizza, perfect after an afternoon at CoCo Key Water Resort. Unfortunately my camera got a little wet while at the water resort so I couldn’t take pictures while in the courtyard. It was so peaceful sitting on the deck under the gazebo. It was the perfect backdrop for a picnic party with the kids. The staff at The Lodge Pub were super friendly and accommodating.

The Sunflowers Restaurant is a more formal restaurant at Cherry Valley Lodge but without the stuffiness. They serve up favorites such as New York Streak, Yellowfin Tuna, Seafood, pastas, soups, salads, and gorgeous desserts. This would be a lovely romantic dinner spot as well.
