The Roar and Explore Adventure Getaway in Columbus, Ohio comes with a 2 night stay. We stayed their preferred Drury Inn & Suites. If you’ve never stayed at a Drury Inn, you my not fully understand their slogan, “the extras aren’t extra”. Read on and be impressed! As a parent, I can see why Drury Inn & Suites is the preferred partner for the Roar and Explore Adventure Getaway too. It is the perfect hotel for families.
Drury Inn & Suites Review
When we arrived at the Drury Inn & Suites in Grove City, Ohio, it was packed with kids. As we found our room upstairs, we noticed ball team signs hanging on all the doors. Apparently it was the weekend where 150 ballteams were in town for a big tournament. I thought for sure we would never get to sleep at night. The door next to us said “Go Copley”, so we felt right at home with a Copley, Ohio team next door.
I have to say that we slept like babies (the kind that sleep all night through without a care in the world). Either #1 Drury Inn & Suites has really good insulation between the rooms or #2 Copley, Ohio kids are respective, quiet, and go to bed on time. I’m not really sure what it was but we were not disturbed by the hundreds of kids in the hotel. AMAZING!
The hotel room was a standard room with 2 beds, fridge, Flat Panel LCD TVs, etc. You can tell the beds were good based on the jumping ability my kids show below. Seriously, it was a good, clean room.
Drury Inn & Suites Extras
At Drury Inn & Suites, the extras aren’t extra. They mean it too! Your travel dollar stretches a lot further when you consider you get a free hot breakfast and free hot dinner/snack in the evening.
The Free Hot Quikstart Breakfast includes crambled eggs, sausage, Belgian waffles, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, bagels, pastries, juices, hot and cold cereals, toast, milk, coffee, tea and more. This is a great way to start the day off right. It saves money too when you fill your family up with a hearty breakfast.
The Free Kickback of Hot Food & Cold Beverages are from 5:30-7. The menu rotates with hot dogs, chicken strips, macaroni & cheese, baked potatoes, a nacho bar and more! Free, unlimited soft drinks are served until 10pm. Adults also receive 3 alcoholic drinks each of beer, wine, or mixed drinks.
The Kickback Dinner is our favorite money saver. We had planned on checking it out as a snack and then going out to dinner later. However, we enjoyed the meal so much that it was our dinner.
Other extras that aren’t extra at Drury Inn & Suites inlcude Free Wireless High-Speed Internet Access, 60 minutes of Free Long Distance & Local Calls, 15 minutes free long distance to Canada and Mexico, Free soft drinks and popcorn daily from 3-10 pm, indoor pools, outdoor pools, whirlpools, and fitness rooms.
Even with a ton of kids at the hotel that weekend, the staff kept up with the cleanliness of the hotel, the food at breakfast and dinner, and provided good, friendly customer service. I highly recommend Drury Inn & Suites for your next family vacation.
