Stan Hywet Hall presents their annual Stan Hywet Christmas celebration of Deck the Hall. This year’s theme is Joys of Christmas Past where the past 100 years of Christmas celebrations will be on display at Stan Hywet Hall in the form of trees, gifts, fashion, music, holiday traditions, and decorations from each decade.
Deck the Hall is from 5-8pm with the must-see Tree Lighting at 5:30pm sharp. Santa leads the celebration in the Courtyard. While there, grab one of the best gingerbread cookies in Akron at the bakeshop. Kids will enjoy visiting Santa in his workshop where they will also get the recipe for Santa’s favorite cookies. Also in the courtyard is a bonfire to warm yourselves while you sip on hot chocolate or cider.
Stan Hywet Christmas
Stan Hywet Hall at Christmas is the most beautiful site to see. With half a million Christmas Lights, it is a winter wonderland. Dress warmly because you will not want to miss the lights throughout the Stan Hywet Gardens. There is even a 30 foot tall tree of lights on the West Terrace Overlook.
Inside Stan Hywet Hall, you will find beautiful Christmas decorations in every room. It is too beautiful to imagine or capture on film, it is a must-see.
