About 5 weeks ago, I told you about how moisturizing body wash may strip your skin of moisture and how I was putting the Dove Nourishing Body Wash to the test. Check out my Dove Video Testimonial: Revealing the Truth below. (Lovely cover image, right?!)
How you can tell from my video, what I most enjoyed about the Dove Nourishing Body Wash is how it lathers. It is the glycinate ingredient that normally is only in high-end body washes that gives you a soap-like lather. It lathers nicely on both a puff and wash cloth.
Dove Nourishing Body Wash even lathers on a wash cloth!
Being smack in the middle of winter, it is the worst time for dry skin. I am always applying and reapplying lotion because my sensitive skin dries out and quickly feels itchy – to the point of hurting.
I can honestly say that by using the Dove Nourishing Body Wash for the past 5 weeks, my skin feels great. The product claims to contain 100% natural moisturizers called NutriumMositure in the product that helps your skin to replenish lipids lost during a normal wash. It must be true because my skin felt clean and moisturized every time I used it. In fact, I actually skipped applying lotion several days, just to test it and my skin felt good.
My kids have sensitive skin too, I have used Aveeno kids body wash for years. I switched to the Dove Nourishing Body Wash for Sensitive Skin this past month. Off and on this winter, my kids have complained about itchy skin – but refuse to use lotion. What is a mom to do? Since using the Dove Nourishing Body Wash, I’ve noticed that they haven’t been complaining – so it must be working for them too. Plus, it is refreshing to have clean-smelling kids! It isn’t highly fragrant but leaves a fresh, clean scent. I never had that with Aveeno.
