Earlier this year, I reviewed the Liquid Sunshine cleaning products from Vermont Soap Organics. The products worked well, smelled great, and fit nicely into my “greener living” lifestyle. I was thrilled when Vermont Soap Organics offered to have us review more of their vast product line. This time, Vermont Soap asked us to focus on some of their personal care lines – and they gave us a little bit for everyone – including the family dog! 🙂
Personal Care Products from Vermont Soap Organics
First on our list of goodies to try was a gift set of organic soaps for sensitive or dry skin. The set consisted of a Oats & Aloe unscented bar, an Oatmeal Lavender bar, and a Butter bar. I was amazed to learn that at Vermont Soap Organics, they take almost a month to create these bars of soap. Once the premium, food grade ingredients are blended and gently turned into soap and glycerin, they are molded and then cured for about 30 days.
Vermont Soap Organics touts that this slow, handcrafted process creates a high-end, all natural, organic product that is gentle on sensitive skin. We would agree. Both my husband and I tried the soaps. I love the natural exfoliator the oatmeal plays in the bar, and it’s soothing properties for dry skin. Our skin felt moisturized and refreshed. At a $12.99 price point, this set of 3 soaps would make a nice gift for just about anyone. They come in a dry skin set, an oily skin set, and a combination skin set, all with a variety of great scents.
We also sampled their Organic Baby Wash & Shampoo. And while I don’t have a baby in the house anymore, I still love to use simple, effective, all natural products for my kiddos and myself!
My four year old, Lila, loves the Organic Baby Wash and Shampoo. She thinks it smells great, even though it’s unscented for for most sensitive skin. LOL! She thinks it’s cool to be able to pump the wash out for herself in her tub. I love how sudsy the wash is on her hair, and how literally squeaky-clean her hair is after we use it. All that from a product that is all natural and non-toxic! Set’s my mind at ease to know she’s not swimming in yucky additives while trying to get clean in the tubby.
Vermont Soap Organics has even thought of the family pet with their new Organic Pet Shampoo. This is the first certified organic pet shampoo on the market! No chemical detergents, synthetic fragrances, colors, or antimicrobial preservatives are used in the shampoo, which reduces the possibility of sensitivity reactions by our family pets.
Vermont Soap Organics even says that the natural essential oil blend helps to repel fleas and ticks naturally – what an added bonus! But what did our pooch, Lexie think of it? She tells me that she loves the almost spicy herbal scent, and can’t get over how shiny her coat is after she gets bathed. She feels like a million bucks! Our family thinks she smells pretty great too, and loves the fact that our beloved pet isn’t being exposed to potentially dangerous chemicals when she gets a shampoo!
