As a mom, I treasure the joy my kiddos bring me everyday. On special holidays like Mother’s Day, I find myself reflecting on the best of the best times. My family has been fortunate with a safe place to live, food to eat, and a loving extended family. My heart goes out to those in need and those that are struck by unforeseen disasters. My heart aches for kids affected by disasters and the moms who desperately want to protect and provide for them.
Johnson’s Baby Protect During Disasters
This year, Johnson’s Baby is partnering with Save the Children to help families. Save the Children helps families during times of disaster, ensuring they can keep the joyful moments, even during times of trial. They will be donating and distributing Johnson’s Baby “Care Kits” which contains baby care essentials like lotions, washes, shampoos, diaper creams, etc to those affected by disasters immediately. Plus, they will be providing funding to Save the Children for other programs that aim to provide families a safe space to recover after a disaster.
As a mom, I try to teach my kids how fortunate they are. We may not have the fanciest house, the newest car, the newest electronics, or trendy clothes but we have a lot to be thankful for. Yes, I even tell my kids to finish their food because there are starving kids in China…and in America…
Just recently, my 5 year old daughter has been praying at night for people who have no beds that they would have a place to sleep and people that don’t have enough food that they would have food and that God would give the people who don’t have a home, a place to live and “everything they need”. As a mom, my heart swells with pride that my daughter gets it, she cares for the less fortunate.
Moms Can Help Too
As a mom and a consumer, I like to support companies that “get it” and gives back to those in need. Johnson’s Baby is a trusted brand that moms have trusted for safe products to care for their babies and kids. How appropriate for Johnson’s Baby to be a welcoming sigh of relief to moms that are struck by disaster and need to care for their children.
We do pray for people in need and I think that is important to teach our children. I also think it is important to show them how we care by supporting great causes like Save the Children whenever your family can. You can partner with Johnson’s Baby right now on the Johnson’s Baby Facebook page to donate to Save the Children.
Save the Children makes it easy to donate any dollar amount by credit card, paypal, google checkout, or my printing and mailing your donation.
