Over the past year, I’ve realized that I am getting old. Not OLD OLD, but older. I have realized that I’m not twenty-something anymore and need to take better care of myself. I have started to watch what I eat more, joined a gym, and have started taking supplements. I have had issues off and on with IBS (Irrital Bowel Syndrome), most likely because I have not been taking good care of myself like I should. And it gets worse with stress. I tried prescription drugs years ago but it didn’t really help. I decided just to deal with it, which often meant intense stomach cramps that would cut family outings short!
Probiotic for Digestive Health
The buzz right now is all about probiotic bacteria and how it is good for your health. There is both good and bad bacteria. If you don’t have enough good bacteria in you, you can experience digestive and stomach problems. People take probiotics to help prevent diarrhea, gas, and cramping. By taking a probiotic supplement, it may help replace the good bacteria that you are lacking.
I was recently introduced to Provella. Provella is designed for women to promote digestive, feminine, and immune health. Provella is a unique brand that is specifically designed for women to support digestive and vaginal health. Provella is a probiotic supplement of 6 bacterial strains that uses a controlled-release technology to ensure that you get the benefits of probiotics – unlike competitor brands that loss 60-80% of certain bacteria strands in the gut.
So, I’ve been taking Provella once daily for almost 3 weeks. It is a supplement that should be taken daily for best benefits. I like that it is a rather small pill, nothing large to swallow. I also really like that there is no taste or aftertaste.

Without going into too many details, I can really tell that Provella is really starting to improve my digestive health. My bouts with IBS symptoms come and go, usually without warning, triggered by stress. I’ve been under stress these last few weeks with my kids going to school, finding my way as a stay-at-home mom with both kids in school, and other family issues involving close family moving. That being said, there has been plenty of triggers for my painful symptoms to arise. Although not 100% better, I’ve had stomach cramps a couple times but only like 10% of what they normally are. So, I can really tell that Provella is starting to help me and my digestive health. I really hope that it continues to improve my symptoms.
If you suffer from digestive health problems, I’d say give Provella a try. After consulting with your doctor, of course!
