We all have our favorite presidential candidates for this year’s monumental election. Whether your favorite is Barack Obama or Mitt Romney, one thing is for sure, they both look fantastic as Play-Doh! The Winner of the Official Play-Doh Artist of the Year would agree too!

Hasbro, Inc., announced today their first every Official Play-Doh Artist, Ian Williams. Ian Williams is just 21 from Rochester, NY.  He is the first ever Official Play-Doh Artist of the Year. He and his fellow students at Rhode Island School of Design Sculpture and Ceramics Department were given the opportunity to win this title and a $5,000 tuition stipend.

Williams won this title with the above entry based on realism, craftsmanship, creativity, presentation, and incorporation of the Play-Doh brand personality.  His exciting adventure continues and you can be a part of it on the Play-Doh facebook page as he will be creating additional Play-Doh creations for the brand.

“I’m passionate about sculpting and grew up playing with PLAY-DOH so I’m truly honored to be chosen as the ‘Official PLAY-DOH Artist of the Year,’” said Williams. “Working with Hasbro is a wonderful opportunity and I look forward to sharing my creativity with the PLAY-DOH online community.”
