Stan Hywet is offering a Adult and Child Stitchery Workshop on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 9:30am – noon. Join this basic stitchery class led by Stan Hywet Needlework Guild member Ginger Manger.
You and your child will be able to create a whimsical owl with woven fabric, felt and found objects that can be framed or finished as a wall hanging or pillow top. You will learn surface stitching techniques to embellish and assemble the finished project.
You will need to bring basic supplies with you including:
- Needle case with tapestry, embroidery and quilting needles in different sizes
- Needle thread and thimble (optional)
- Pencil and gum eraser
- Ruler,
- Notebook
- Scissors
- Embroidery and paper
- Laying tool
- Coffee mug or water bottle
