Visit the Akron Mini Maker Faire November 11th – Free!

Prepare to meet fascinating engineers, artists, scientists, hobbyists and thinkers at the Akron Mini Maker Faire at the Downtown Akron Library THIS SATURDAY November 11th, 2017!

A family-focused gathering, this event has no equal in Summit County. This event is made to share excitement for CREATION for the budding STEM focused/artistic/geeky boy and girl in each of us.

Families, teens, and students of all types get to interact with others that share their same interest, see presentations, new technologies, and try out tech they might not otherwise be exposed to.  You don’t have to come with anything in mind, just see what others have to share and show.

Is this a trade show?  Are they selling anything?  Not specifically- no.  The Maker Faire is a ‘show off’ kind of show, that focuses on generating interest in MAKING and CREATING.  Truly unique.

What kind of exhibitors? Well SOME of those listed on the website are:

Acme Egg Drop, Akron Global Polymer Academy, Akron Makerspace, Family Time Crafts , Rubber City Prints, the Lucky Penny Farm, Nerf Modding 101, Peaceful Fruits, Super Skeeball, the Stan Hywet Needlework Guild, TinyCircuits and many many many more (I just picked a few from the list)

You can see the full event website here.

My family and I attended one of the first several years ago, and sadly it fell off of our radar.  I was super excited to see this in the library newsletter.. Join us there!
