The Akron Zoo celebrates veterans this Veteran’s Day while helping USO Northern Ohio Chapter. On November 8-12, 2010, all military personnel, veterans, and immediate families will receive 1/2 price admission! Must show military ID to receive discount.
If you are not a veteran but want to support military families, you too can receive 1/2 price admission. Simply donate an item to the United Service Organization (USO). This is a great way for families to support the military and teach kids about our veterans. You can donate toothbrushes, batteries, magazines, toilet paper, shaving supplies and much more. Also needed are food/snack items such as small canned goods, tea/coffee, fruit snacks and more.
