I’m at home in the kitchen creating new recipes or DIY home improvement projects throughout our home, however, I’m not crafty at all. I’m the least crafty person I know but I LOVE custom home decor. I recently took an AR Workshop for Lazy Susans with my best friend Annlouise who is a designer and all-things-crafty. I knew I would have a good time just because we were going to be together.
I highly recommend bringing a friend or family member with you to a workshop as it is a fun and bonding experience. That being said, while we were there, there were several ladies visiting solo having a great time as well. You can even book parties for girls night out, birthday parties (adults and kids), bachelorette parties, team building events, fundraisers, corporate events, and more at AR Workshop in Hudson, Ohio!
To visit AR Workshop, simply choose a date and project you’d like to work on. Like I said, there are many different kinds of projects that you can select from! Sign up online for your project and time. You’ll even type in all of the customized information like name, dates, and phrases that you’d like included on your workshop piece.
Once you arrive at AR Workshop, your instructor will have your customized pieces already for you as well as the raw materials and tools you’ll use for the project. 
From there, you will select stain, wash, and/or paint colors for your custom piece.
For every single part of the project, your instructor will demonstrate how to get various effects on the materials and how to use the tools.
If you are super-self-conscious like me, they will even help you, as needed until you get the hang of it!
They are there to offer you as little or as much advice, direction, and advice that you need. I asked a lot of questions when it came to design, washes, and colors while my friend instantly knew what she needed.
I loved adding the personal elements to my Lazy Susan although I was dumbfounded at how it worked until I actually completed the project! 
I love my color choices!
I was right at home using the tools while my friend needed more assistance with the power tools!
It is so nice to have all the supplies, materials, and tools on-hand to complete all and any of the Pinterest looking home decor items I’ve only seen online! 
Speaking of power tools, there were quite a few going on while we where there with others working on projects, they were actually building their own frames! So cool! The possibilities are endless at AR Workshop in Hudson!
I can’t express enough how awesome our instructor was, everyone was so helpful, friendly, and helped us have a really fun, relaxing, and good time together.
Even though my friend and I both made lazy Susans, the style and final projects were completely personalized to our style and custom.
We both use ours on our dining room tables. Everyone who visits our home comments on how much they love our Lazy Susan too! 
If you choose, you can easily hang it on a wall or on the mantel to switch things up too!
We had such a fun time together and plan to make it a tradition to do this together several times a year and bring more friends with us! In fact, my friend is thinking of having her 50th birthday party with some friends there this summer!
Even though I’m not crafty, I love how my AR Workshop Lazy Susan turned out and feel empowered to work on even more custom and personalized projects from AR Workshop! I finally feel like I CAN DO IT! I can’t wait to go back to make a plank wood sign for my mantel!
