I enjoy doing crafts and activities with my kids, however I am not “crafty”. I don’t do crafts with my kids as often as I would like because I find it difficult and time consuming to find age-appropriate crafts and then buy all of the supplies at various stores. The BabbaBox was made for moms like me! It is a convenient and fun way to explore theme based subjects that are age appropriate for your kids. (Ages 3-6) BabbaBox is a monthly subscription of for fun and engaging activities, crafts, and more for your kids.

Each BabbaBox comes with 4 major components. Create, Explore, Story Tell, and Connect. Each component connects with the central theme to really engage your child in learning through the various ways. The BabbaBox comes with everything you need for all of the activities in the box. You don’t even need a supply of common craft items, it comes with everything you need.

For the Create section, you will have 2-3 projects for kids to do with their hands. For the Sun, Moon, and Stars box that we reviewed, we received everything to make a Paper-Mache Moon Nightlight and a Constellation Frame. We are still exploring the BabbaBox but have started the Paper-Mache Moon Nightlight. My son is a total nature boy, so I was surprised that he didn’t enjoy getting his hands full of the glue for adhering the paper mache. He said he liked making the nightlight but didn’t like having glue all over his hands. I, on the other hand, had a great time with it as I really enjoy paper mache crafts. We have another layer to put on our nightlight once the first layer dries but it is moving right along!
[slickr-flickr tag=babbaboxpaper]For the Explore component, you will receive a theme-based product for your kids to use to engage with the world and nature. For our kit, we received a pair of kid binoculars to explore their surroundings. My kids could use the binoculars to check out the moon each night as they record their own Lunar Calendar. This is perfect for the time of year since my kids are usually awake when the moon is out in the summer, and my son has been noticing the moon a lot lately because it has been a full moon. Keeping track of it is going to be lots of fun! Of course, they play with the binoculars 24/7!
For the Story Tell component, you will receive a book that is specific to the theme. My kids have really enjoyed the Twinkle Star of the Week book with our kit. It is vibrant in color with lively artwork and a fun and educational story.
For the Connect component, you will receive interactive learning downloads for free.
A special surprise also came in the BabbaBox for parents. We received a beautiful wine stopper with a star on top.
I was impressed on how everything, including the wine stopper was coordinated with the Sun, Moon, and Stars theme. Having everything for a month of creative fun in one box was great. Having it shipped to my door was incredibly convenient.
