There is no better way to start your Put-in-Bay adventure than on the Miller Boat Line Ferry. Miller Ferries offer the lowest fares of just $6.50 one way or $13 round trip, $3 for ages 6-11, kids under 6 are FREE. You can also bring your bike or car for a fee. Plus, parking is free and it is easy to park and board. If you are planning a trip to local attractions such as Cedar Point, it’s just 25 min drive.
[slickr-flickr tag=millerboatline]I recently went to Put-in-Bay with my friend Annlouise and her kids. Annlouise said that the ferry is one of her favorite parts about going to Put-in-Bay, I couldn’t agree more. It’s an adventure leaving the mainland to get to the island. It is so beautiful just to sit back and enjoy the scenery of Lake Erie.
If you have kids, watching them as they experience riding the ferry is priceless. Our kids thought it was awesome to just stand at the front of the ferry and sway with the waves. It was quite windy when we were there with lots of waves, our kids thought it was so exciting to see the waves crashes against the boat!

The Ferry leaves about every 30 minutes, depending on the time of day, etc. Check out their full schedule here. They are always right on schedule with friendly, helpful staff.
After a full day at Put-in-Bay, we enjoyed the beautiful sunset and ride back to Port Clinton, Ohio.
