Just outside of Summit County in Brecksville, Ohio is a fantastic playground your kids are going to love. Brecksville Community Park is located next to the Brecksville Community Center. It has quickly become one of our favorite parks to visit since we first discovered it this Summer. There is a lot of play equipment, swings, a play area for young kids, children’s garden, shelter with fireplace, basketball court, and more.
Parts of the play equipment are all-accessible with ramps. Most of the play equipment seems quite new and all is in good repair.
Slides, slides, and more slides. There are many slides with even more ways to climb to the top with rock walls, ramps, stairs, floating lilly pads, and other climbing structures. There is even a balancing beam obstacle course set up, which my daughter loves! The large suspended tires are fun to climb and relax on. I just love all the unique ways for kids to play at Brecksville Community Park! This tunnel is fun for kids to walk through too. There is a good size area for younger kids too. It has a fence around it to keep wandering toddlers from escaping from moms! Throughout the park, there are plenty of places for parents to sit and watch their kids, including large wooden bench swings – my favorite – reminds me of times spent with my Grandma Cavinee. Some seats even have shelter from the sun.My kids really like the Kids Garden, and so do I! There are both flowers and vegetables for kids to explore. I believe there is a sign that states that kids can take 1 item. The vegetables were all gone but my kids brought home some herbs for dinner the last time we visited. There is a dedicated area for traditional and tire swings with a fenced in basketball court area behind. The shelter looks fun for picnics and parties. It has a fireplace too. I’m sure it can be rented through the community center.Running water also makes this park a good one – kids love it but it isn’t easily accessible so you don’t have to worry about wet kids!
