By the time girls enter middle school, they become less interested in math and science. She Elevates is a non-profit company with a mission to empower, inspire, and motivate girls ages 8-14 to become confident leaders, entrepreneurs and CEOs and help them make a difference in the world.
She Elevates just held its annual Academy with our young women in Canton, Ohio. This annual camp is a time for girls to learn what it takes to become a girl boss with sessions in person and online. Empowering our young girls to be their best and work hard in school to excel is what our young girls need to become confident with a vision for their futures.
She Elevates Academy gives the girls time to sharpen their skills by giving them real business problems to solve that will enhance their ability to use their analytical and critical thinking skills. It’s the perfect opportunity to show them how math and science should be a part of their immediate future.
A well-rouned young woman also cares for our community. Children’s Toy Fund came to She Elevates Academy to unity project that will benefit Project Kare. They lead the girls in instruction to build care blanket bundles for children who have recently been placed in foster care. In total, the girls participating in the She Elevates Academy helped to put together and donate 44 blanket bundles.
Throughout the event, our girls learned about entrepreneurship and business, marketing, sales, becoming a business owner, author, or community service leader, and so much more. Not only do the girls learn about becoming CEOs, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and more, the girls are also taught confidence, empathy, and analytic/critical thinking skills.
If you think your daughter would benefit from such a program, check out their website for upcoming events.
