Just for Kids

Ski School
The Canaan Valley Resort Ski School is offered for for all levels and ability. Choose from group or private lessons. The school also offers adaptive lessons, telemark and cross country skiing lessons.
There is even a Ski School for kids for two age groups 5-8 year olds and 9-12 year olds.

Year-round Activities
Canaan Valley Resort is a 4-season destination with plenty of family fun for everyone. Some activities are seasonal but there is plenty to choose from: indoor and outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, tennis court, miniature golf, horseshoe pits, playground, sand volleyball court, soccer field, crafts, softball diamond, basketball arena, corn-hole toss, kite making, guided walks and wagon rides.

Canaan Valley Resort lodge recently went through a remodel. Choose from 160 lodge rooms and suites with modern decor and accommodations.
The lodge rooms and suites offer double queen and king bed options, 37-inch flat screen televisions, complimentary high-speed WiFi, refrigerators, microwaves, coffee pots and other modern amenities.
You can also choose to retreat to one of their 23 cabins (2, 3, or 4 bedrooms) and cottages. Cabins and cottages are equipped with fireplaces, linens and full kitchens.
Canaan Valley Resort Dining
Choose from three dining options at the Canaan Valley Resort lodge. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are offered year-round at the Hickory Dining Room. The Laurel Lounge is a full service bar with pub-style menu and is open daily from 5 p.m. (2pm on on Saturdays). Season’s Café features a lighter menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Ski Area Dining December – March
In the actual ski area, choose from cafeteria-style dining at Bear Paw Food Court or Quenchers Pub for a full service bar serving sandwiches and snacks. Both are open December through March.
Four Season Fun
West Virginia’s Canaan Valley State Park Resort is a four-season destination many activities during warmer months too including golfing (18-hole championship golf course was designed by Geoffrey Cornish ) hiking and biking trails, riding the ski area’s chairlift, geocaching, tubing the “Turtle Slide,” climbing wall and “Eurobungy” in summer, and trap shooting.
