The wait and anticipation is finally over. The New Shoot the Rapids water ride at Cedar Point is finally open!!

This amazing ride is sure to cool you off this summer with two giant hills with splash landings!  You are gonna get wet, even the dark tunnels are mist filled, around every canyon you’ll be sprayed with water, and at the end onlookers will get you with the geysers. This will be the place to be on hot summer days! Shoot the Rapids is the 3rd water ride at Cedar Point.

This is actually a long ride at about 3 minutes. You will take a 2,100-foot ride through the Crystal Rock Bottling Company out West through dark tunnels with mist to cool you down, between water spraying canyon walls and of course two giant hills.

The 1st hill is 85 feet-tall, one of the tallest water ride hills in the world! The 2nd hill is 49 feet tall. With that height comes fast traveling boats, up to 50 mph! This is quite impressive for a water ride.

Onlookers have a blast soaking people at the end of their rides with 8 water geysers! Just pop in a quarter for your chance to soak the people on the boats. You can even choose what geyser to turn on, this is very helpful when trying to pick out a certain person to soak!

Kids have to be 48 inches tall or 46 inches tall and accompanied by a responsible adult to ride this ride.

I took my family with kids ages 3 and 5 earlier this year and they had a great time. I wish I had taken them even last year when they were younger, I had no idea there was so much for young kids to do at Cedar Point! Read my review in full here. Veronica went to Cedar Point for the first time ever with her family which includes an older son, read her full review here.
