Celebrate abundance of new life at Spring Lambing Days in Peninsula, Ohio

The Spicy Lamb Farm in Peninsula, Ohio welcomes you to celebrate with them the new life on their farm. Interact with adorable baby lambs, chicks, ducklings, and bunnies weekends starting March 12 through April 17, 2011. I can’t wait to take my kids to this event. We love going to the zoo to see animals but to be able to pet and hold baby animals will thrill my kids. Who can resist cute little baby animals? This seems like a perfect event to welcome Spring with new life. At only $5 per person with a $20 max for families, it is an affordable family outing in the Akron area this Spring. You will also have a chance to enter to win their Queen Sized Blanket Raffle. The blanket is a 100% virgin wool heirloom blankets that normally sells for $145. The drawing will be held after the Blessing of the Sheep on May 15th.

More about the Spicy Lamb Farm. The farm is part of the Cuyahoga Valley Countryside Conservancy. They raise Dorset sheep and have started an orchard with organic varieties of apple, pears, and plums. And, we have a spicy herb/vegetable garden, wildflowers, and pumpkins.

Pricing for Spring Lambing Days

$5 per person. $20 per immediate family. Free to Adopt-a-Lamb families. Please no dogs or horses these days.

Spring Lambing Days

Saturdays from 9-11am and Sundays from 2-4pm between March 12th and April 17th. Groups can make appointments for other times for farm tours.

    The lap blankets on their website sound nice. I also liked that they give detailed directions since GPS will take you the wrong way! lol

    I love that these animals are raised humanely and it’s not about a big money business! I personally don’t eat aminals because of ethical reasons but my husband and most people I know do, and this a wonderful alternative to my lifesyle… getting their meat from farms like these
