Nothing helps make the season bright like making Christmas crafts with your children. It will certainly get you and your children in the Christmas spirit while keeping them entertained this week as they anxiously await Christmas and during the long Christmas break. Crayola makes Christmas crafting easy with fun, kid-friendly products for every artistic creation!
I received product to facilitate this post.
This weekend, my kids, husband, and I did some fun Christmas crafting together after freezing outside playing in the snow! I like how easy Crayola products makes it for kids to express their creativity in easy and fun ways. I found a few ideas on the Crayola “Holiday Crafts” Pinterest Board to springboard our creativity into some really fun Christmas Crafts!
Homemade Christmas Ornament Craft
We used Model Magic and Glitter Glue to create a special keepsake homemade Christmas Ornament.
Model Magic is super soft and easy to shape into any shape you want. We flattened it and used a cookie cutter to make a jingle bell shape. Next, my daughter used her thumbprint to create the bell.
Next, she used the glitter glue to draw designs on the jingle bell.
We used a straw to cut out a hold at the top for a ribbon to string through.
Model Magic can be used again and again or left to harden and set. We left our homemade Christmas ornament out to harden. Next, we strung a ribbon through the top and hung it on our Christmas tree.
I love, love, love homemade Christmas ornaments that my kids make. It is so special to hang them up on the Christmas tree every year. This would make a great keepsake ornament for kids to give to grandparents too. It is a super simple Christmas craft for kids of all ages.
Personalized Christmas Bulbs
It is super easy to give life to an ordinary Christmas bulb. Add Crayola Glitter Glue to make a personalized Christmas bulb. Have your kids draw any design they like, including initials, names, and the year to personalize it.
Not only are they beautiful on the Christmas tree but they make great gifts for grandparents, aunts, and uncles! This is a super easy Christmas craft that takes just minutes to make with your kids. Allow to dry before handling or hanging on the tree.
Homemade Christmas Cards
Even though we send out family Christmas cards, my kids like to make special cards for family and friends. The new Crayola Slick Sticks are AMAZING to color and decorate with. They are the smoothest crayon imaginable. The colors are bold and glide on easily on all paper, including construction paper. My kids can’t get over how fun they are to write with!
Homemade Nativity Scene
My son came home with this homemade Nativity Scene last year in second grade. It was the first time I had ever heard of Crayola Model Magic. It has held up wonderfully over the past year! I just love it and will be putting it out for decorations every year.
I hope that my family’s Christmas crafts have inspired you to get into the Christmas crafting mood!
