My son attended the Classroom Antics LEGO Robotics Camp in Fairlawn, Ohio. Classroom Antics offers a variety of Tech Summer Camps for kids ages 7-13.
Classroom Antics LEGO Robotics Camp Review
My son likes LEGOS but isn’t addicted. He likes computers but would rather play outside. Introducing him to the world of programming and robotics this summer was something we thought would be good to see if he had any interests in such. His dad is an electrical engineer, so there may be some genetics passed down. 🙂
I told Elijah, my 7 year old that he probably wouldn’t actually build a robot in just a day when I dropped him off at his camp on the first day. Boy was I wrong! He made 2-4 LEGO Robots every day at camp! He was so proud of himself and all of his creations – and so was I!

This gives your kids not only a higher quality experience but also teachers who have experience running a classroom. This is a big deal for me since I know my son needed extra help on the computer. Having a “real” teacher teaching the camp equals a higher quality camp.

Miss Sarah would teach the camp via a projection on the wall that is also on each kids’ individual laptop. Following the directions individually and with partners is a great learning experience for kids.

Classroom Antics offers classes on Jr LEGO Robotics, Jr Video Game Design, LEGO Robotics, Stop-Motion Anlm, Programming, and Video Game Design.
[slickr-flickr tag=othercamps]On the last day, each camper received a diploma of achievement. Parents were able to come 15 minutes early to watch. The teachers explained to the parents what each camp learned and did and then handed out the diplomas. The kids loved this – and so did the parents.
