Columbia Woods Park is located in Norton, Ohio. It is a well-kept park with a playground, several pavilions, ball fields, tennis courts, basketball court, scenic pond, gazebo, and more.
My kids and I explored Columbia Woods Park in Norton, Ohio over Spring Break. It was a little cold but a LOT of fun! We visit playgrounds and parks year-round. It is a great way to get outside, explore, and have fun.
This Norton, Ohio playground is top-notch! It must be relatively new as everything is in perfect working order, well-maintained, and clean. There are multiple slides, climbing structures, monkey bars, and a climbing wall.
There are 4 swings and 2 handicap accessible swings. The entire area is mulched, for extra protection from falls. I also like that it is fenced in on three sides – making it harder for little ones to escape from mom!
This park has three pavilions that you can rent for picnics, parties, and events. The one next to the playground includes two fireplaces, one inside the pavilion and one outside. The outside one is for grilling!
The pavilion is 36’x36′ with 12 tables seating 8 each. Electric and water is available. This would make a great place for a family reunion, cub scout or other kid party.
The outdoor grill is perfect for burgers and hot dogs! There is a small scenic pond behind this area – another reason that I like that the playground is fenced in on 3 sides.
There is also a gazebo located right next to this area that can be rented.
Columbia Woods Park also has four lighted tennis courts. You can even reserve them.
This park goes on and on! There are also Soccer / Football Fields, Basketball Court, Snow sledding hill, and 2 Baseball Fields.
There are two port-o-pots, one is handicap accessible.
If you are looking for a new playground and park to check out, I suggest driving over to the Columbia Woods Park with your family. Whether you spend a 1/2 hour at the playground or the whole afternoon, you are sure to have some great family fun!
