Are you a shutterbug like me? I have always taken way too many photos, trying to capture every single moment with my family. There are so many wonderful special moments to capture and preserve – from vacations and trips to the everyday moments. I have my camera or phone with me every where we go – you never know where the best photo will happen! Maybe at the playground, swim team practice, gymnastics, dance class, soccer practice, art class, piano practice, the park, or just the back yard. There are so many fun and exciting things going on that I want to capture and save it all!
The problem is, what happens after you snap the photo or share it on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter? Chances are good that you have a zillion photos floating all over the Internet and stored either on your phone or computer never to be seen again. Such a sad reality! How would you like an easy-to-use tool that promises to make it easier to keep all your favorite moments in one spot?! Dream come true, right?
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Blinkbuggy. I received a promotional item to thank me for participating.
Document Life in One Place with Blinkbuggy
Blinkbuggy is a FREE program available in both desktop and mobile app. Blinkbuggy helps you capture every moment and document it easily in one, secure place. Within Blinkbuggy, you can create collections – kind of like folders- for your photos, to keep them organized. I plan to have mine stored in collection by month and year. Within each collection, you can tag your photos and memories too to separate them out even further.
For instance, I may have a picture in the April 2014 and also pictures in a May 2014 collection. I can tag photos from any collection, so I could tag photos “Spring in Ohio” so that I can view or share only those photos as well. It is super easy to share photos. I do like that with Blinkbuggy, photos are private unless you make them public or custom to share only with friends and family. Since I don’t have any friends signed up with Blinkbuggy yet, I made my Spring photos public and had all these sharing options: Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Pinterest, or I could send as a link or email.
I put them both on my personal Facebook page and the AkronOhioMom.com Facebook page for all to see. From there, people can see my photos – even without an account – but only those photos made public. Each photo includes the ability to customize with everything from a caption to date to even comments from friends and family. What a way to document life – by having both your comments and those of your friends and family on each photo.
When a picture is posted socially, like to facebook, many people will comment but then it is left there, buried deeper every year, never to be seen again. With Blinkbuggy, those comments are preserved and stored in your collections to be revisited anytime you want and to be shared for many years to come.
Uploading the photos is very easy – from the app or your desktop. You can even import photos from friends on Facebook, making it very easy to share photos! One feature that I love, love, love is that Blinkbuggy automatically puts the date on the photo that it was either taken or uploaded to social media.
I know that I’ll be using the option of uploading photos from friends and family a lot – we all take photos at parties and events but it is nice to have pictures your friends took as well as your own – for new perspective!
You can even print a memory book, gallery frames, and folded photo note cards right from your Blinkbuggy page! No need to upload to another website, it is all there, ready to print – no excuses! 🙂
