January is the perfect time to bundle up and head to the Akron Zoo with your family. Dollar Days is happening every Saturday and Sunday in January at the Akron Zoo. During Dollar Days, you can enjoy $1 specials on things like food, experiences, and even admission! Check the Akron Zoo Facebook page and website every Wednesday for that weekend’s $1 special.
The animals are so lively during cooler months, especially the snow leopards, penguins, and lions. It is one of my family’s favorite times of the year to visit. We’ve been visiting the Akron Zoo during the winter since my kids were very young. It’s a new way to explore and my kids love it.

The Akron Zoo is open daily 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. now through March 2017. The baby snow leopards are on display daily from 11am – 1pm.
Winter Admission is just $7 per person with children under 2 free. Parking is $3.
