The Dolley Madison House is hosting an Easter overnighter highlighted by breakfast with the Easter Bunny. Akron-area families are invited to take the short drive to Brewster, OH to stay in one of the bed and breakfast’s historical suites Friday, March 29 to Saturday, March 30.
Dolley Madison House Easter Overnighter
For just $45, a family of four will be able to take part in numerous Easter activities.
At 7 p.m. Friday, the Easter Overnighter will kick off with cookie decorating. After children put their artistic touches on their treats, they will gather around the fireplace to hear an Easter story. A movie, featuring a rabbit, will be shown in the stately dining room before families turn in for the night in their private rooms.
At 9 a.m. Saturday, the young and young at heart will be served hotcakes and scrambled eggs alongside the guest of honor, the Easter Bunny. At 9:30 a.m., children can get their faces painted and make a holiday craft. The event will wrap up with an Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. on the front lawn.

The overnighter is a wonderful activity for families with children 5-years-old and younger and well worth the price. We went two years ago – when our little girls were 1 and 3 – and had a blast making special memories together. Our daughters loved our room, the Martha Washington Suite, which featured antique beds and a back porch swing. Easter eggs had been hidden in our room prior to our arrival, and we had so much fun searching for them all.

The Easter Bunny even drew our daughter’s ticket for the grand prize, a giant basket stuffed full of great prizes and candies, following breakfast.
The overnighter is a nice opportunity to get away for a night as a family without having to spend a lot of money on entertainment.
