My kids want to live on a farm now after visiting the Spicy Lamb Farm for Lambing Days this weekend.  There is something about the joy of baby animals that puts a smile on your face, and actually holding the baby animals produces lots of giggles, huge smiles, and fun times. It’s what memories are made of. This Spring, I highly encourage you to take your family to the Spicy  Lamb Farm for their Lambing Days. It will become a favorite family tradition.

Easter Activity in Akron, Ohio area, Lambing Days in Peninsula, Ohio

I told you about the Spicy Farm Lambing Days earlier but I had no idea how much fun my family would have. I just had to share pictures so you could sort of get an idea of what it is all about. This isn’t an event for the onlookers, you’ll want to get right in on the action. There were so many animals to adore, pet, and hold including sheep, lambs, bunnies, puppies, chicks, ducklings, and horses. 40 sheep are expecting, so the farm could easily have 42 or more lambs this Spring!

Plan a trip to the Spicy Lamb Farm this weekend through April 17, 2011. Saturdays from 9-11am and Sundays from 2-4pm. Pricing is only  $5 per person with a $20 max for families. This includes hot apple cider, cookies, and other snacks too.

The farm is part of the Cuyahoga Valley Countryside Conservancy. They raise Dorset sheep and have started an orchard with organic varieties of apple, pears, and plums. And, we have a spicy herb/vegetable garden, wildflowers, and pumpkins. Groups can make appointments for other times for farm tours.

This looks great! We live right in the Falls, so we are so close, and I never knew about this farm! If the weather holds out, we will head there this weekend! Thanks for the tip!
