Family Fun with Fido at Bark in the Park 2011

Being the animal lover that I am, I wanted to share with you all an AMAZING family filled fun event that is coming up soon!  The Humane Society of Greater Akron also known as PAWSibilities® in conjunction with Springfield Township is hosting their annual Bark in the Park and Pet Expo event. The event takes place Saturday May 14, 2011 from 11am-3 pm at Springfield Lake.  It is such a great event to support a much needed organization in our community! Presented by Cascade Subaru and the Lisle M. Buckingham Endowment Fund of the Akron Community Foundation.

Bring your family and friends out to have a fun day at Bark in the Park 2011

What is Bark in the Park?

The Bark in the Park pledge walk is a chance for you & your pet to enjoy a 1 mile walk together…and help the homeless animals of PAWSibilities, the Humane Society of Greater Akron enjoy a better life at the same time! Proceeds go to help animals that are victims of cruelty/neglect, illness/injury, and provide adoption services, education & community outreach programs!

  • Walk! For animals that have been beaten and battered…
  • Walk! For animals that are left behind with no one to love them…
  • Walk! So that no animal lives in fear…
  • Walk! For animals that are starved and hungry…
  • Walk! To show and educate your kids that animals deserve a great life too…
  • Walk! To help support HSGA PAWSibilites® so that they may continue to save animals in our community…

Registration is $5 per person and children under 12 and all pets are FREE.

Registration begins at 11:00am, Pledge Walk begins at 12:00 noon.

Love this one, Jo! I’ll have to check out calendar and see if we might be able to be there too. We usually attend the Winde Festival in Hudson that benefits Pawsibilities too. A fun night for ALL! These amazing companions need us to be their voice–thanks for getting the word out! 🙂
