Free Family Movie Night from General Mills: In Store Specials Nationwide

Lucky Charms and Trix and Movie Tickets

With Whole Grain and Calcium in every box of General Mills cereal, you can be confident serving your kids their favorite kid friendly cereals. Plus, for a limited time, you can receive a Free Movie Ticket when you purchase two specially marked packages of Big G cereals including Honey Nut Cheerios® (17 oz.), Cinnamon Toast Crunch® (17 oz.), Lucky Charms® (16 oz.), Trix® (14.8 oz) and Reese’s Puffs® cereal (18 oz.).

My kids love BIG G (General Mills ) cereal. We like to have a variety of cereal to keep the mornings exciting around our house. We were able to sample 2 of our favorites, Lucky Charms and Trix. No surprise, our whole family liked both. I was surprised though that my kids enjoyed having BOTH at the same time! Who knew Lucky Charms and Trix mixed together could be so, um, tasty. My fave is Cinnamon Toast Crunch, loved it since I was a kid. Isn’t it funny how food can bring back good memories from your childhood?

How to get Free Movie Tickets from General Mills

After purchasing two participating cereals, visit generalmills.com/moviecash to enter the unique code found inside each box of cereal and print your free Movie Cash certificate (good for one admission of up to a $12 value at participating theaters). Find a participating theater in your town.  I love this promotion. General Mills is such a family oriented company as it is. Now, they are offering parents a chance to take their family out to the movies for free. We love movie night but with the expense, we don’t go out often. When we do, it is a treat!

Unlike coupons, you can use these Movie Tickets for any movie up to $12, including 3D and movies that say No Passes. They treat these tickets as traveler’s checks! We went to see Tangled in 3D at the Montrose Regal Cinema and loved it!My kids were reaching out into the air trying to reach for the 3D objects. I found myself watching them and their facial expressions more than the movie at times. I just love to see my kids experience new, fun, and exciting things, don’t you?! What is better than that?

Believe me, these General Mills cereals are great by themselves but with this incredible movie ticket promotion, they MORE than pay for themselves. Stock up now, especially if you see them on sale. I know I am! I can’t pass up a great deal and free family movie night out.

We make it special by making our movie nights at home feel like a night at the theater. We bought the popcorn cups they have at the real theater for our popcorn, we buy the boxed candy (usually $1 a box at the store) and let our kids have a soda (a real treat for them). Then we all snuggle up on the couch and enjoy the show!

Movie nights are special for us because we rarely splurge on a movie out. So, we try to make it a fun event and go out for ice cream or hot cocoa after the movie to talk about the movie, our likes/dislikes, and its messages. Sometimes we stay in for a movie night with a video from redbox and collect pillows & blankets from around the house and all snuggle up together on the floor with popcorn!!

Movie night when we stay in– We eat dinner, pull out the fold out couch… the kids bring all the pillows down and we pile them everywhere. Pop popcorn and we watch movies the rest of the night!
