Free Family Movie Night from General Mills: In Store Specials Nationwide

Lucky Charms and Trix and Movie Tickets

With Whole Grain and Calcium in every box of General Mills cereal, you can be confident serving your kids their favorite kid friendly cereals. Plus, for a limited time, you can receive a Free Movie Ticket when you purchase two specially marked packages of Big G cereals including Honey Nut Cheerios® (17 oz.), Cinnamon Toast Crunch® (17 oz.), Lucky Charms® (16 oz.), Trix® (14.8 oz) and Reese’s Puffs® cereal (18 oz.).

My kids love BIG G (General Mills ) cereal. We like to have a variety of cereal to keep the mornings exciting around our house. We were able to sample 2 of our favorites, Lucky Charms and Trix. No surprise, our whole family liked both. I was surprised though that my kids enjoyed having BOTH at the same time! Who knew Lucky Charms and Trix mixed together could be so, um, tasty. My fave is Cinnamon Toast Crunch, loved it since I was a kid. Isn’t it funny how food can bring back good memories from your childhood?

How to get Free Movie Tickets from General Mills

After purchasing two participating cereals, visit generalmills.com/moviecash to enter the unique code found inside each box of cereal and print your free Movie Cash certificate (good for one admission of up to a $12 value at participating theaters). Find a participating theater in your town.  I love this promotion. General Mills is such a family oriented company as it is. Now, they are offering parents a chance to take their family out to the movies for free. We love movie night but with the expense, we don’t go out often. When we do, it is a treat!

Unlike coupons, you can use these Movie Tickets for any movie up to $12, including 3D and movies that say No Passes. They treat these tickets as traveler’s checks! We went to see Tangled in 3D at the Montrose Regal Cinema and loved it!My kids were reaching out into the air trying to reach for the 3D objects. I found myself watching them and their facial expressions more than the movie at times. I just love to see my kids experience new, fun, and exciting things, don’t you?! What is better than that?

Believe me, these General Mills cereals are great by themselves but with this incredible movie ticket promotion, they MORE than pay for themselves. Stock up now, especially if you see them on sale. I know I am! I can’t pass up a great deal and free family movie night out.

We have movie nights once a week where no one is allowed to have their phones on (including the house phone, which also gets set on DND). We also pop popcorn and just sit quietly which doesn’t happen much in my house! 🙂

  2. devon says:

we love to have movie nights at home, all of us snuggle in our jammies and blankets and watch a kid friendly movie. We make popcorn too! fun night for the kids.

We make them special by making it a big deal. Even if it’s just a movie at the house. Lights get dimmed, popcorn made, some form of snack at the ready…

  6. Betty N says:

making movie nights special…start with “fun” food for dinner (like pizza); limit snacks at movies because they are really expensive) then head for ice cream cones before heading home.

  7. Jerri Mathew says:

Movie night when we stay in– We eat dinner, pull out the fold out couch… the kids bring all the pillows down and we pile them everywhere. Pop popcorn and we watch movies the rest of the night!

Movie night out– I take the tickets for the latest showing. We put on our pajamas, head to the theater, buy popcorn and candy, and its our midnight pajama party!

  8. Alicia Webster says:

I make movie nights special for my family by bringing a whole lotta $$$ to the theater. There are five of us, and everybody wants a different drink, and their own thing of popcorn, and their own package of candy. And then they’ll want to go out to eat afterwards…

  9. Jennifer Kimberly says:

We make these nights special by letting our two year old pick the movie! We are lucky she usually sits through at least half of the movie!

  10. Heather S says:

We make it special by letting everyone pick their own treats and sharing them. Of course popcorn is required and lots of chocolate

We look to see which kid friendly movie is coming out that week, and then on Friday morning we pick up that movie and some snacks and bring out the body pillows with the 4 kids and lay on the floor watching the movie together as a family.

  23. Shannon says:

Movie nights are special for us because we rarely splurge on a movie out. So, we try to make it a fun event and go out for ice cream or hot cocoa after the movie to talk about the movie, our likes/dislikes, and its messages. Sometimes we stay in for a movie night with a video from redbox and collect pillows & blankets from around the house and all snuggle up together on the floor with popcorn!!

We make it special by making our movie nights at home feel like a night at the theater. We bought the popcorn cups they have at the real theater for our popcorn, we buy the boxed candy (usually $1 a box at the store) and let our kids have a soda (a real treat for them). Then we all snuggle up on the couch and enjoy the show!
