There is no one like your sister. If you have the privilege of having a sister, you know what I mean. Today is Sisters’ Day, the perfect excuse to celebrate the friendship of sisterhood. Although I have close friends that I may consider a “sister,” nobody compares to my own sister. I love my sister, Michelle and value who she is as a woman, Christian, and mother.
Disney has a new movie, FROZEN in theatres on November 27th that showcases sisters. Just like in real life, sisters don’t always see eye-to-eye but will do anything for each other. The main character Anna takes off in an epic journey through Everest-like conditions to find her sister whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter (sounds like an Ohio winter to me!). I can’t wait to see what happens and how sisterhood plays into the adventure.
Anna looks to be a very strong female character, I admire Disney for promoting feminine strength. My family can’t wait to see it! Until then, be sure to celebrate your sister today with a quick email, phone call, card, or hug!
