One of my family’s favorite Akron, Ohio playgrounds and parks is Hardesty Park located at 1615 West Market Street in West Akron. Hardesty Park is a large spacious park surrounded by a neighborhood and borders West Market Street and the new West Market Street Station. After we visited our favorite new restaurant, Piada Italian Street Food we stopped by to play at the park!
This playground is in excellent condition, the City of Akron is really taking good care of the playground. The new mulch was super thick, making the whole playground even safer. There are many options for play on the large main playset including monkey bars, climbing structures, teeter totter, trapeze rings, swinging bridge, and more. There is also a smaller play structure for little ones. 
Fun and exercise is important to kids of all ages. When kids are playing at playgrounds like this one, they don’t know that they are exercising. There are so many playgrounds and parks in the Akron, Ohio area that there is no excuse to not get outside, explore, have fun, and get a little exercise. 
There is a shelter that can be rented for events like birthday parties, potlucks, reunions, and other events. Rent the shelter by signing up online. Rental includes Covered Shelter, Bathrooms, Electric, Picnic Tables, Paved Parking and Grills.
Hardesty Park is a large spacious park surrounded by a neighborhood and borders West Market Street and the new West Market Street Station. The city hosts many events at Hardesty Park throughout the year including concerts and an arts expo.
The park also has walking trails, large open grassy spaces, benches, picnic tables, and baseball diamond. No fences, so keep a close eye on your kids. 
There is usually a group of people playing soccer, basketball, or baseball during our visits.
