How is your summer going? Are your kids bored yet? Or are you making the most of summer? I’m trying to squeeze in as much fun and quality time with our kids as possible this summer. One way we do that is with fun summer toys and activities to avoid boredom and too much TV watching. Kids Lemonade Stand Supplies
My kids have been bugging me to have a lemonade stand since early May. I promised them we could once school was out, they were more excited about having a lemonade stand than anything else. Target has all the kids lemonade stand supplies you could ever need. My kids got up extra early the morning of our Lemonade Stand grand opening, they were so excited.

We don’t live in a neighborhood, so we couldn’t expect anyone walking by to stop for lemonade. Our road is a pretty busy one but my kids really wanted to try, so we tried. We tried for 1-1/2 hours and my kids got one sale. They had fun but I think the next time we set up the lemonade stand, we will go to grandma’s house or work with one of their friends.

Duct tape is the new fashion trend. Kids are making duct tape purses and duct tape wallets. In fact, there are lemonade stands in Akron where kids are selling duct tape purses and wallets on the side.

Here is a picture of our duct tape wallet. The instructions were easy to follow. I was amazed at how fun the project was and how easy to do.
Kids Badminton Set
As a kid, I remember loving playing badminton with my mom and dad. I wasn’t any good at it as a kid because the rackets were too small. There must be a mom in charge at Target because they have a Giant Badminton Set for just $7.99 for kids. The rackets are large and so are the birdies, so kids can actually play it! 🙂 As a mom, I love this because my kids can have fun without all the frustration. Just look at the look of amazement on my daughter’s face in the picture below. You can see on her face that she was saying,

I always keep at least one summer outside game in the car for those impromptu trips to the park or backyard parties that don’t have toys for my kids to play with. This toy would be great to keep in the car for such outings.

Target for Summer Fun
Target is the destination for summer fun. They have everything you need from summer toys to snacks to swimming suits to sunscreen and everything else! Be sure to follow the giant beach balls, sunglasses and sand bucket signs at Target to find all the summer toys and merchandise.
And just for fun, you can use the Target “Summer-izer” Facebook application add “Big Honkin’ Summer” icons and larger-than-life props to your summer photos. You can then print them at your local Target photo center or share them online. We had fun adding a big beach ball to my kids’ Cedar Point picture.
