Visit the Akron Zoo during their 3rd annual Wild Lights lighting event for dazzling lights, visit with Santa, S’mores by the fire, ice skating, costume characters, ice carvers, carolers, and more! We have made Wild Lights at the Akron Zoo a Christmas tradition and it gets bigger and better every year!
New this year is ice skating! For just $5, you can sake on an ice rink! This includes skate rental!
Visit Santa Claus through December 23rd at the Akron Zoo in Santa Land throughout the event. The lines are never too long because it is such a beautifully decorated area to enjoy while you wait in line. He’s a friendly Santa that takes time with your child. Bring your own camera for ‘free’ pictures with Santa. Or, get exclusive one-on-one time with Santa before the event starts by entering at 4:15 pm for Snack with Santa for just $5 per person add-on. Enjoy cookies and a hot beverage to get the evening started off on a sweet note. Plus, write a letter to Santa to make sure he doesn’t forget your child’s request. 😉 
Throughout the event, you’ll enjoy themed weekends with costume characters, ice carvings that will mesmerize you, and even carolers from our local schools.
We love visiting the Akron Zoo during cooler months because so many animals love the cooler weather and are active!
Plus, the dazzling lights throughout the zoo make it extra magical to walk through and experience. 
We always look forward to stopping by Mrs. C’s Sweets for S’mores and other treats. The Komodo Cafe will also be opened with a special menu to warm you up and keep bellies full.

Parking/shuttle fees are $3.
Registration is required, and tickets include admission to Wild Lights. Infants are free, but they must have a ticket to enter the zoo.
