The Akron Zoo and the Magical Theatre in Barberton have teamed up to form the Howls & Growls Team to promote upcoming opening of the Akron Zoo Mike & Mary Stark Grizzly Ridge on July 20, 2013.
The Howls & Growls team will be performing a short skit at several community events and be interacting with the public this summer, as well as attend the grand opening of Grizzly Ridge.
The Howls & Growls skit features a family living out in the woods talking about Grizzly Ridge coming to Akron. Kids will play the roles of the bear and coyote, grandpa and a fiddler. They talk a little about each animal that will be in the new exhibit and then, through audience participation, will have the audience howl and growl and do the howl & growl hoedown.
Grizzly Ridge will be one of the Akron Zoo’s largest exhibit openings in history, including grizzly bears, red wolves, coyotes, otters, bald eagles and more. Check out one of the new Grizzly bears coming to Akron Zoo!
