Is I-X Trick or Treat Street Worth It?

The I-X Trick or Treat Street started today and runs through next Sunday, October 30, 2011. We took our kids today and had a blast! Everything was just perfect. Our kids headed straight for the kiddie rides side of the event. There was so much for them to do. Each ride is easily marked as to height requirements and restrictions, so it is easy to see which rides your kids can ride. My 4 and 6 year olds were able to ride almost everything. I think there was 1 ride they were too big for and 1 ride my daughter was too little for, so they were just the right size for everything!

Our family favorite was the 3D Mystery Manor and the Mardi Gras Fun House! The 3D Mystery Manor is set up like a maze you walk through, in mostly darkness. 3D images appear around every corner, pop up from the ground to where you have to walk across a wooden plank to get across floating shapes, and the walls appear as though you can walk through them but end up being solid! It was lots of fun, my daughter was a little scared the first time through but then begged to go through again. The tunnel at the end is amazing! Lights go all around you as you walk on the bridge, it really, really messes with your balance. It is amazing how those lights can make you really feel like you are moving sideways and have to hold on. We loved it!

The Mardi Gras Fun House was a kick to try to walk through. With all the glass, it looks like you can just walk right through the path and then be surprised that it is a solid wall. Great fun for kids and parents!

Other rides include Helicopter, Mardi Gras Fun House, Rabbit Racer, Merry Go Round, Barrel of Fun, Bear Affair, Street Racer, Flying Dragon, Scooter, Dragon Wagon, Yo-Yo, Slide, Ferris Wheel, and more.

The second section of the IX Trick or Treat Street is for trick or treating. There are 12 spooktacular candy stations with various lightly scary themes. There was no line so we were able to get through very quickly so the kids could enjoy their candy! There were about a dozen vendors throughout the show that had candy for kids too!

Today, our kids got to see Bunny and Daffy Duck in person and get their photos taken with them. They will be there tomorrow, Sunday, October 23, 2011 too.

Next week, Jungle Terry will be there with his critter pals on Friday, October 28 from 4-6pm. Scooby-Doo and Shaggy will be there on October 29 and 30.  Every Saturday and Sunday, the Tenny Shoe-Bop Bunny Band will be performing a family-fun show too.

Buy Tickets to I-X Trick or Treat Street

You can buy tickets at the I-X Center for $12 for adults and children. Buy your tickets in advance at Discount Drug Mart for just $9.99 each for adults and children. Children two and under are FREE, however if you would like them to participate in trick or treating a ticket must be purchased.

Is I-X Trick or Treat Street Worth It?

Yes! For $12 your child can ride as many rides as they want, all day if they want. The same price at the county fair would get your child 4 rides! It’s well worth it. Plus, they get to go trick or treating in a safe environment!
