It has come to our attention that students at a local inner city school, STEAM Academy in Akron, Ohio are in need for school supplies, school uniforms, snacks, and personal items.
Please consider donating your gently used school uniforms and sporting equipment, or purchasing supplies and personal items for these children.
Akron Inner City School Donation Drive Needs
School Supplies:
- crayons
- markers
- glue
- lined papers (wide or college)
- pencils
School Uniforms:
Need sizes for grades K-7th (Size 5 – Adult Large) gently used or new.
- Khaki pants
- Any color polo shirts
Personal Items:
- shampoo
- deodorant
- feminine hygiene items (6th-7th grade girls)
- toothpaste
- toothbrush
- snacks
Sporting Equipment:
The school could use sporting equipment for recess. Gently used or new kick balls, basketballs, jump ropes, sidewalk chalk, and other outdoor sporting equipment would be greatly enjoyed by the students as the weather warms up and they get outside.
Donate with Amazon:
You can even donate via Amazon. A teacher created an Amazon list to give you additional ideas on classroom supplies and food that would be helpful to supplement their school provided lunches – we all know how hungry our kids can be with just a small school lunch, there is a food insecurity. The Amazon list is just an idea of supplies they need, they don’t need to be the exact products or purchased from Amazon. If you purchase through Amazon, you can have those items shipped directly to the teacher.
