Embrace the Wonders of Earth Day at the Akron Zoo

Are you looking for a memorable and exciting way to spend Earth Day with your family? Well, grab your raincoats and umbrellas and head to the Akron Zoo for their Party for the Planet event on April 22nd! The forecast calls for a little rain but don’t let that stop you from experiencing nature up-close and making unforgettable memories with your kids. They’ll love splashing in puddles and visiting their favorite animals, even if the weather doesn’t fully cooperate. Plus, it seems there will be a break in the rain between noon and 3 pm, so hurry up!

Get ready to dive into a day filled with fun, learning, and conservation from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Local conservation organizations will be at the zoo, offering an array of educational and conservation-themed activities. Kids will also have a blast with crafts and an exciting pollinator scavenger hunt! Those who complete the hunt will earn a fantastic prize.

And that’s not all! The Association of Zoos and Aquariums has prepared some amazing Party for the Planet giveaways to make the day even more special. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate our beautiful planet while supporting the Akron Zoo and local conservation efforts.

Please note that normal admission rates and parking fees apply for this event. So, pack your rain gear and get ready for a splashing good time at the Akron Zoo this Earth Day! 🌦️🐘💚
