In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Akron Zoo is offering FREE admission for all guests on Monday, January 20 from 1-4pm. Enjoy the entire zoo as well as fun activities provide by the Akron Chapter of NAACP. Be sure to check out their new winter Family Fun Zone too with giant games, sports station, up-close animal encounters, crafts and more in Komodo Kingdom.

Akron Art Museum offers FREE admission on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

FREE School’s Out Cookout at Liberty Park in Twinsburg

Celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr. at The University of Akron Activities Fair on Monday, January 20, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Jean Hower Taber Student Union Ballroom. Activities include -Biographic information on Martin Luther King Jr. Historical information on the Civil Rights Movement, Martin Luther King Jr. gallery and other visual displays, Performances, Arts and crafts, and Information about various organizations.

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Great Lakes Science Center will offer FREE general admission to all guests from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, January 20. There will be special programming including live science demonstrations, hands-on science cart activities, Curiosity Carnival, NASA Glenn Visitor Center, Polymer Funhouse, and hundreds of hands-on interactive science exhibits.
