Great Lakes Science Center NASA FREE Evening

Great Lakes Science Center is offering an evening with special NASA programing for FREE on Saturday, March 9th from 5-8pm. This is your chance to explore the Great Lakes Science Center after-hours with free general admission!

There will also be special outer space programming as they gear up toward the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 moon landing on July 19th – 20th this summer.

StarLab Planetarium
Location: Reinberger Auditorium, Lower Level
5:30-7:30 p.m.
Crawl into our inflatable planetarium and soar through the stars. We’ll experience space exploration, all while staying in the comfort of Earth.

NASA Glenn Research Center’s Graphics & Visualization (GVIS) Lab
Location: Wintergarden, Lower Level
5:30-7:30 p.m.
Try out a new virtual reality experience that takes you into the Apollo mission!

Mars Cars Challenge
Location: NASA Glenn Visitor Center, Level 1
Times: 5-7 p.m.
Become an engineer! Design and build your own Mars car, then test your design on our makeshift Mars terrain course.

Moon Rock Chat
Location, NASA Glenn Visitor Center, Level 1
Times: 6:15 and 7:15 p.m.
Stop by and visit with one of our scientists to learn more about our moon rock and Apollo capsule artifacts. Explore these iconic pieces like never before in a fun and engaging way.

Picture Yourself in Space
Location, NASA Glenn Visitor Center, Level 1
5-7:30 p.m.
Imagine yourself driving a rover on the moon while posing for a free souvenir photograph.
