Don’t miss out on this most special December Event in the Valley! The Lantern Tours at Hale Farm are a special Christmastime treat for my family, and the best dates (if not all of them) sell out every year. I suggest you make your reservations soon!
So what is the Lantern Tour experience exactly?
The Christmastime Lantern Tour at Hale Farm is a 90 minute excursion through a fixed year in the mid-1800s. Following a story filled with period-characters, deep historical references and stops in many of the Hale Farm buildings and homes, this lantern lit experience is one that any child will remember for, well, the rest of their lives.
This isn’t a movie that you are stepping through. This is an almost sacred event that has lets you hear feet cracking through snow, caroling in the church, occasional coyotes in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the warming heat of hearths upon entering the homes, warm greetings at every door, the smell of cinnamon and pine, and of course the tastes of cookies and hot-cocoa at the end.
Each family on the tour gets a candle lit lantern to carry through the journey. It’s a wonderful thing to share.
So, can you tell I am a wholehearted fan? Read our yearly reviews here.
