Attend the “Become a Flexitarian” Seminar

The public is invited to hear LCP Registered Dietician Marianne Fisher speak on the popular topic “Become a Flexitarian” on Wednesday, February 23, 2011.  There will be two sessions: 9-10 a.m. and 7-8 p.m. There is a $10 charge for the seminar.  Pre-registration is required by February 17.

“Flexitarianism” is an emerging nutritional concept, fueled by growing numbers of people who want to make their diet healthier with more vegetables, fruits, whole grains and nuts, but who do not want to give up animal proteins entirely. “Become a Flexitarian” will instruct attendees how to incorporate more plant-based dishes into the menu, while still allowing flexibility for animal-based foods.
