Experience a historical account on how to make maple syrup and more at the Maple Sugar Festival at Hale Farm & Village
March 12, 13, 19 and 20, 2016.

Tour the 19th century village of Hale Farm while experiencing the process of maple sugaring from tree tapping to a sugaring camp where costumed characters tell how to make maple syrup while cooking and processing it right in front of you.

Whether the weather is cool or warm, this is an adventure that your whole family will enjoy. We’ve attended when there was still snow on the ground and other times when it was warm like it has been lately – Hale Farm never disappoints!
Hale Farm does an amazing job bringing history to life. It doesn’t hurt that they have real historical buildings on site, like the original Sugar House of C.O. Hale pictured below.
In addition to experiencing the maple sugaring process, you’ll enjoy live demonstrations of such crafts and trades as glassblowing (our favorite!), blacksmithing, and spinning and weaving. Star and Bright, the Hale Farm oxen will also be showing off their skills!
Whether you start your visit with the delicious pancake breakfast or end with it, it is sure to be one of the best parts of the Maple Sugar Festival at Hale Farm & Village. Yum!

Be sure to stop by the Marketplace gift shop to take home your own Ohio made maple syrup! They also have an amazing selection of gifts for adults and kids, including blown glass items and pottery made by Hale Farm artisans and other Made in Ohio gifts.
