Join us for a playdate at the Metroparks’ Nature Realm in Akron, OH on June 9th at 11:20am. This is the perfect chance to meet other moms in the area and check out the newly renovated Nature Realm. We will have our own personal demonstration from the Naturalist. The Naturalist will show us all kinds of creatures that are normally behind class, including snakes! Yikes! The kids are sure to have a great time learning about creatures found right here in Ohio and about nature surrounding Akron.
We will meet at the Nature Realm building at 11:20am. The naturalist will begin our demonstration at 11:30am. Bring a picnic lunch and we’ll gather at the picnic tables after a self-guided tour of the new Nature Realm at around 12:30-ish.
About the renovated Nature Realm. There have been new features added including a more accessible entrance to the center with a gradual grade walkway, new exhibits replaced the 18 year old exhibits, new observation pond deck right off the back of the nature realm visitor center, updates on the bird observation area, new waterway that leads parking lot run off into the pond, new restrooms, renovated auditorium, earth sustainable products were used throughout, and more.
This playdate is for kids of all ages, so bring your school age kids if they are out of school.

Cindy, I would love to come. However, Isabella is only one and probably wouldn’t get anything from it. Maybe I can join you all at the next zoo outing!
