The 45th annual OHIO MART and the 38th annual Stitchery Showcase will be held at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens on September 29-October 2, 2011.
Ohio Mart
This year, there will be more entertainment and vendors than ever, including 140 artisans and craftspeople. The Stan Hywet Exclusives and artisan demos are back this year and not to be missed. It is the perfect spot for finding unique gifts and decor for yourself and loved ones including one-of-a-kind sculptures, jewelry, holiday items, hand-crafted furniture and more.
Enjoy freshly baked local favorites (including gingerbread) from your favorite local bakeries. (This is one of the only places that I have found that sells gingerbread in the Akron, Ohio area – get it while you can!)
For entertainment, enjoy the Firestone High School Madrigals as they perform from an a cappella repertoire on Saturday and Sunday afternoon of Ohio Mart. Also, Fergie and the Bog Dogs, a popular Irish pub band performs on Saturday afternoon.
Family Fun at Stan Hywet
There will be face painting, pumpkin painting, giant life size checkers and chess games, hands on mucial fun with Akron Symphony Orchestra (Sat & Sun only) for kids too.
Stitchery Showcase
Stitchery Showcase is presented by the Stan Hywet Needlework Guild in the Manor House. This stitchery exhibit includes300 stunning and unique pieces are on display.

Tickets to Ohio Mart are $8 for adults, $2 for youth, ages 6-17. Kids 5 and under are free with an adult.
