The Circus is in town and you won’t want to miss Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus 200th Anniversary! This year’s production theme is “Funundrum” to celebrate the birth of P.T. Barnum. You’ll enjoy joyful clowns, amazing acrobats, death-defying stunts, daredevil motorcyclists, and more flawlessly choreographed!
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Family Review
We were so excited to go to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. Each year there is a different theme, I feel like this year’s show is even more spectacular than previous years!
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus FREE All Access Pre-show
The circus All Access Pre-Show is free with your ticket and begins 1 hour before your show. You won’t want to miss this! This is when you and your family can get up close to many performers including clowns, acrobats, stilt walkers, and more! There is plenty of audience interaction, so your kids have a chance to be in the circus!

It was nonstop action at the pre-show in 2 sections on the floor.

Is wasn’t too crowded, my kids had a front seat to see up-close action! I highly recommend going to the pre-show 1 hour before the main circus starts! It’s a great time to take pictures of your kids too since once you are seated and the show starts it will be too dark.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Funundrum
Funundrum is non-stop, edge of your seat action for more than 2 hours! This really IS the Greatest Show on Earth! There is never a dull moment. I found this year’s theme to be full of more action and less dancing from previous years. It’s a full blown circus, it is worth it to go to a Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus compared to others. This is the top-notch circus to attend. Just seeing the look of amazement and awe in your kids eyes is worth it all, besides feeling the same feelings yourself! I never tire of the circus, it is so fun to be amazed at any age.
The Ringling website has a great preview video, check it out and it will get you excited to get on board the circus train!
Asian Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Elephants
The Asian elephants are always my favorite part of the circus. Every time they come out throughout the show, my eyes light up at their amazing abilities, size, and beauty. The Asian elephant has been an icon of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus for 138 years. This year, you will get a rare chance to see a baby elephant at the Cleveland Show! He is simply adorable with his mama walking behind him holding onto his little tail with her trunk. She actually had a bit of difficulty keep a hold of the baby’s wagging tail. It was so cute.

Pirates of the Teeterboard
The Asadullin Troupe- Pirates of the Teeterboard pirate act was one of our family’s favorite acts. My son especially loved it since he likes stories about pirates and treasure. Notice the large treasure chest at the center of the stage. The pirate act is breathtaking as 2 teams of pirates do one amazing feat after another! They were launching pirates up in the air and stacking them 3 and 4 people high! They even had some pirates on stilts being shot up into the air to land on the ground, on stilts! Amazing! This segment had very fun pirate theme music and dance that was not traditional circus style, very creative!

The Sky High Ice Gliders
As if walking on a tight rope high above isn’t enough, the Sky High Ice Gliders walked uphill on a tightrope! You’ve gotta see this. For the finale, the man carried a disco ball on his head with a lady standing on top of it, up hill!

Torres Family in the Spherical Miracle
This is one of those acts where my stomach starts to go into knots as I fear for their safety. These daredevils seem to ride their motorcycles with ease in this small globe. Tonight, there were 7 motorcycles speeding around and around in the globe – effortlessly! What coordination and talent! This act receive a lot of loud cheers, especially from the men! I’m sure many wives were telling their husbands not to even think about trying this! lol

The Mighty Meetal Lifting Over 1200 Pounds
The performers all did an outstanding job, giving the audience one amazing thing after another to gasp at and be in wonder over. One such act was with Mighty Meetal. They stacked barbells and 3 people on top of Mighty Meetal for a total of 1200 Pounds! How one person can do this, I have no idea! It is a sight to see!

Tigers with Trainer Daniel Raffo
You may be able to get within a few feet of the Asian Elephants but not with the Tigers. This is another family favorite act. Seeing the majestic tigers performing a show with the Trainer Daniel Raffo is both frightening and brilliant. How a trainer can train wild animals like tigers is beyond me. The tigers looked like giant kitty cats grooming themselves when they were not performing. My son loved seeing them up on their hand legs, they are powerful animals.

You won’t want to miss the amazing Grand Finale, unfortunately we did since my daughter became sick.

A note about Quicken Loans Staff
About 3/4 through the show, my daughter felt really warm. I took her to the restroom to get cool water on her head. The water was warm, not cold, so I asked a security officer were I could get cold water. He personally walked with me to the First Aid Station.
When I walked in, I had several people immediately assisting me. Once they took her temperature, we found that my 3 year old had a fever. They proceeded to give her a cool cloth for her forehead and children motrin. When my daughter refused to take the medicine, they didn’t just leave me to be on my own. They patiently assisted me in giving her the medication. I was so thankful and amazed at how kind and helpful the Quicken Loans staff was to me and my daughter. When I left the First Aid station, the security officer was there waiting for me to walk me back to my section so I wouldn’t get lost. What great people!
