You’ll hear more screams and have more thrills at the roller coaster capital of the world during HalloWeekends! There is no better place in all of Ohio to celebrate Halloween than at Cedar Point for HalloWeekends with your family and friends.
It has become a family tradition for our family (read all our HalloWeekends reviews) and we wouldn’t miss it!
Cedar Point HalloWeekends is a lot of fun for all ages. Cedar Point Haunt is for teens and adults with many scary mazes, scare zones, hows, and experiences that will make you scream! The Great Pumpkin Fest is daylight fun for kids of all ages with activities, mazes, trick or treating, parades and more.
The entire park is transformed into the ultimate Halloween destination – but nothing too scary for little kids.
Check out this quick video on the differences between Haunt for teens/adults and The Great Pumpkin Fest for kids.
HalloWeekends at Cedar Point for Kids
For the young kids, they offer non-scary events like the Great Pumpkin Fest activity center with tractor races, crafts wit PEANUTS characters, hay bale maze, trick-or-treating, foam party pit, magical ‘haunted’ house, and more. Most of this takes place near the Kiddy Kingdom and Main Midway as well as Planet Snoopy and Blue Streak Plaza.
The Family Friendly Parade and Kids’ Costume Contest is a must for families with young kids too!
In addition to all of the scary fun activities for kids at HalloWeekends, riding all of the family and kid-friendly rides are a blast during the cooler weather! Be sure to wear layers as it cools down by the lake but Cedar Point is a brand new experience in the Fall – you’ll love it!
I suggest arriving as soon as Cedar Point opens if you have young kids. Most of the kids activities close down around 5pm, there are some rides throughout the park open when it gets dark but the majority are closed down for the much scarier Haunt Halloween attractions, especially toward the back of the park.
HalloWeekends at Cedar Point for Teens and Adults
The HalloWeekends Haunt is for teens and adults that are ready for the fright of their lives!
I know I’d be scared to death to run into this guy at the new Slaughter House, how about you?
He is part of the new Haunt attraction is a maze where butchers are looking for fresh meat, it is a twist where the barnyard turns into a cannibalistic nightmare!
Each year, my kids get braver and braver. We’ve walked through a couple of walk-through areas like the Carn Evil haunted trail and through Frontiertown with monsters walking about, scaring people. If you walk through these area right at dusk, you should be safe with kids – they don’t tend to scare kids. However, if you are a teen or adult, you are fair fame!
It will be quite a while yet until we go through the haunted houses at HalloWeekends but my 15 year old nephew loves them!
