The Secret World of Arrietty looks to be a delightful movie about friendship for the whole family to enjoy. Coming to a theater near you this Friday, February 17, 2012.
The Secret World of Arrietty is all about the little people who live beneath the floorboards, only venturing out for quick runs to “borrow” items from their hosts such as sugar cubes. To be spied could lead to danger, so they are quite quick and careful. In this story, like the legendary Studio Ghibi (Spirited Away/Ponyo), a 12 year old boy Shawn (voice of David Henrie) discovers Arrietty (voice of Bridgit Mendler), a 14 year old borrower. Arrietty lives beneath the home with her parents voices of Will Arnett and Amy Poehler). They spark a unique friendship that could lead to incredible danger, if found out by the homeowner or housekeeper (voice of Carol Burnett).
