Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s been HOT! I moved here from California but this humidity is sticky! I feel like I need a shower when I walk out to get the mail and my kiddos are miserable. We set off to find a great place to cool off and headed over to the splash pad at Fred Greenwood Park.
Splash About!
My boys were so excited to get to the splash pad! Upon pulling into the parking lot I realized how much fun they were going to have and wish I had worn my swimsuit too. I was glad to see there were 2 big sail shade to protect my pale self from the hot sun. The breeze was nice and after applying sunscreen, I let the kids go! The splash pad it self is open from 11am to 8pm from Memorial day to Labor day! With misters, dump buckets and spouts all around, there is something to do for kids of all ages. Bring buckets and squirt guns for extra fun!
Play All Year
Year round there are many other options for getting your kids outside to play at Fred Greenwood Park. There is a play structure and swing set, a large pavilion area (Seats 65-75 people), 3 soccer fields, 3 softball fields, a t-ball field and plenty of green space to play in. The total park size is 38 acres! Hurry on over and have some fun in the splash pad before LABOR DAY!
