So, you have kids, I get that, you’re visiting a mom blog- there will be NO staying up late with your little ones- volunteering. Why don’t you suggest to your parents to go volunteer at First Night?
We go almost every year and find the variety between music, crafts, the arts, craft stores at Lock3. It’s been going on since I was in college; Akron does a wonderful job!
Volunteers are needed every year- and before/after their shift, they get in freeeee to all events! And couples can volunteer together- how great is that? Volunteers receive a special volunteer lanyard to wear at the event and an invitation to the annual volunteer party held in January- what a way to get someone out of the house!
