I have been hearing about the “Grape Escape” wine tasting tours on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) for years. From what I have been told, wine tasting on a Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad train is a GREAT time, made even better when shared with friends and family. It is a chance to kick back, relax, try some new wines, and take in the beauty of our gorgeous parks. I will be reviewing the Grape Escape Napa Valley wine tour in August, but for now, I wanted to share with you the details of the Grape Escape Excursions. I received tickets for a wine excursion in exchange for my review of our experience aboard the CVSR wine train. We can’t wait for our turn to ride, dine, and sip our way through the Cuyahoga Valley park system!

Grape Escape Wine Tasting on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad
Each month, except for December, when the Polar Express takes over the railroad tracks, the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad offers a themed wine tasting tour. Each tour lasts about 2 hours, and includes 5 wine tastings as well as chef-prepared appetizers. While tasting, you will learn about each wine’s characteristics: body, aroma, bouquet and finish. Participants also receive a commemorative CVSR tasting glass.

This was not a paid post. My own opinions were used based on my perceptions and experience. Thank you to the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad who provided the tickets for review.
